Engraved 3D Brass Dies
Detailed precision
What exactly is an engraved 3D Brass Die?
Three-dimensional die is obtained through precise engraving of a brass piece by computer navigated engraving machine. Due to its specialized cutters, spinning with over 50 000 rpm, the engraving machine “carve”, with pre-defined software paths, a multilayer relief form on the brass piece. As a result, a negative relief is obtained. Consequently, a polymer counter die is produced, which fits ideally into the negative brass die.
The engraved set of die and counter die can then be installed on a Hot Stamping machine for the multi-layer embossing process.
Together with the exceptional quality of the relief, the brass die has another huge advantage – its productivity of more than 10 million hits with one single piece.

Production
Ofset Ltd can produce brass die / polymer counter die sets for the needs of printing houses. Also, the company offers the 3D relief service itself, which can be produced in the high technology factory.
Technical specifications
To order a set of brass die / polymer counter die, the following specifications must be kept:
- Thickness of the brass die: max 7mm (standard), min 3mm.
- Max dimensions (X;Y) of the brass die: 300mm / 300mm
- Additional polymer counter dies can be produced by request
- The technology allows obtaining Hot Stamping and 3D relief processes at one time (simultaneously).
